AUGUST 17th NORTHSHORE OBSERVERS GROUP MEETING Posted August 14, 2012 8:17 pm  
Please note the change in date the meeting is this FRIDAY August 17th.

The August meeting of the Northshore Observers Group has been moved from tomorrow, August 15th to Friday, August 17th as David and Beth Moody will be in town and will attend. The meeting will be at

Macaroni Grill.

Ummmm....I got two emails today. One says the 17th and one says the 24th. When I looked yesterday, it was the 24th. If it's the 17th I won't be able to make it since I thought, due to the post on the forum, that the meeting was the 24th.

Sorry David, I had the wrong date. When I was talking with David Moody tonight, we realize the date of the 24 was wrong.

I posted two pictures from last night's Northshore Observers Group Meeting. The meeting was moved from it's normal third Wednesday of the month to last Friday night because Beth and David Moody were in town and wanted to attend. At the meeting the group learned that David was just made a Fellow of the Roayl Astronomical Society. David and Beth have a friend who already was a fellow in the RAS and this gentleman both nominated David and worked with Beth in keeping it all a secret.

David has been to the RAS twice and at the meeting he talked about visiting its library with the world's second largest collection of original books and manuscripts from Newton, et. al. He showed photos taken in the libray as well as photos taken during his and Beth's world travels.

It was a most enjoyable meeting for all who attended.

Thanks for posting the pictures Jack. Seeing David & Beth and hearing about his becomming a fellow of the RAS was great.
