Saturday, 4-2-05 was an excellent night at LPMOS. As good as it gets and the seeing was very good. This image shows Jupiter with the Great Red Spot which seems to be getting better. The original stack of multiple images also shows Io. Io is not seen in this reduction for this Gallery. The original 4 minute stack does show some elongation of Io as the stack was of Jupiter and Io was continually separating itself from the planet (our perspective) during that period. The Saturn image is a similar stack of about 40 images in Registax. Afocal projection using a Nagler 3.5 mm with an Olympus 3000 in my Orion 100 ED (4" APO refractor).
